I discovered flower stalks on two of my paphs today. Both of these were purchased around Oct/Nov from Zephrus. I am excited to see what the colour will be. I asked for darks or whatever they could send me and both names indicate they could be dark.

Lost a few of my paphs in the change over. Didn't like the new environment I guess. Everything is handling it quite nicely and I am enjoying the room. I managed to acquire a five paphs to replace the ones lost and they are climatizing nicely.

Cypripedium var. pubescens This was a cultivated variety and has been growing very well in my garden for the past 10 years or so. This year they multiplied and I managed to transplant a few in other areas around the garden. They really enjoy alot of leaf mulch and compost.

I purchased this Paphiopedilum recently and it had no tag but it couldn't be left behind. Anyone know what it is?? The bloom is approx 1 to 1 1/2 inches in width and height.

My current orchid set up under lights in a North facing room seems to be working well. I have two in bloom and all the paphiopedilums appear to be healthier for the set up.

Orchids have become an infatuation.
As with most it starts off with I'll buy this one and see how it goes and then it just keeps going.
Look at the pictures I put here and you tell me you
